Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant

City of San Diego Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant

BioFuels has financed, constructed and is operating a biogas purification plant capable of processing 1.6 million standard cubic feet per day of digester biogas. The biogas is fed into BioFuels biogas plant from 8 digesters located at the City of San Diego’s Point Loma wastewater treatment plant. Once the biogas is purified, it is injected into the San Diego Gas and Electric natural gas utility pipeline and is nominated to BioFuels fuel cells located at the University of California, San Diego and City of San Diego South Bay water reclamation plant.

Seattle Washington Landfill Gas to Energy Plant

BioFuels has financed, constructed and is operating a 4.5 MW landfill gas to energy facility in the State of Washington. The landfill gas is turned into electricity and is sold to Puget Sound Energy.

Fuel Cell Projects

University of California, San Diego

University of California, San Diego

BioFuels has financed, constructed and is operating a 2.8 MW fuel cell plant at UC San Diego. The heat by-product from the fuel cell is being consumed in a 350-ton absorption chiller for campus cooling. The fuel cell is part of the UCSD micro-grid system.

California State University, San Marcos

California State University, San Marcos

BioFuels has financed, constructed and is operating an 880 Kw fuel cell plant at CSU San Marcos. The heat by-product from the fuel cell is being used for both campus heating and consumed in a 90 ton chiller for campus cooling.

South Bay Water Reclamation Plant

City of San Diego South Bay

BioFuels has financed, constructed and is operating a 1.4 MW fuel cell plant at the City of San Diego South Bay water reclamation plant. The fuel cell helps the City off-set utility power from San Diego Gas and Electric.
